Hi everyone!! here's a screenshot of my last posts on Intagram! go find me @fitsporate.beyondlimits ! // Salut tout le monde! voici un screenshot de mes derniers posts sur Instagram! venez me trouver à @fitsporate.beyondlimits !

Today I was so lazy I stayed at my boyfriend's and made a 40 min leg workout only with wash gloves. I repeat: the only gym stuff you need here are wash gloves!! you could even workout in anties if you want to! this workout is a circuit so once you did everything you have to repeat it from the beginning 3 times. When wearing wash gloves, the movement don't change but you must keep your feet sticked to the ground and slip your feet to go through the movement (if it's clear enough lol) // Aujourd'hui j'étais tellement fainéante que je me suis entraînée chez le boyfriend et j'ai fais cette petite session pour les jambes de 40 minutes avec des gants de toilettes.

I hope everyone out here had a very nice week-end!! I  had three super nice days as we had a bank holiday here. On Friday night me and my boyfriend went to the restaurant, a cosy one with little rooms and spaced tables and you talk of every thing 'til late in the evening.. Adorable.

Yesterday we laid in the sun for to hours, and now my hams and calves are bloody red with sunburns! #whiteskinproblems

SO! let's get to the point now :) my goal for this week is to make it to 20 push-ups in a row as my previous PR was 17 . So it's not an amazing goal in itself, as some decide to go from 220 to 250lbs at squatting, and I'm here talking bout push-ups.... hey! yes but it is my goal, as you set yours, and even the littlest goals will lead you to bigger ones.

I also want to imrpove my cardio so I'll be spinning a bit after every session + 30 minutes in the evening.

I really believe I am currently having the best time of my life so far, and I want to enjoy it so much, I don't want to miss a thing. I guess this is the best motivation, when it comes from inside you. Because we all are capable of doing great things but we are scared, in doubt, or we're not self-confident enough. It's high time to break the circle and start being that wild child who dares again!

Be active, Be supportive, Be You!

I've spent a very calm and cozy week end alone with my man, we went to the seaside then had a coffee on saturday, invited my bestfriend and her man home in the evening. On sunday we went to the movies to watch the new Avengers, went back home to take a nap and then watched the Amazing Spiderman on TV (Superhero lover that I am).

Let's get straight to the point, I've eaten too much carbs this week end so I felt nauseous this moning but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!

I hope you had an as good end of the week as I had, I bet you're now all ready to kick this week's ass and strive for the best you can do!! I know my fitness freaks out here are the most willing to success!

Loads of Love!!

The MMC connection

When you go to the gym, or when you train at home, the biggest equipment you bring with you is your ego. You know, this thing that unconsciously asks you to lift more thant the others so you legitimize your presence and make other people think " woah, that girl/man is so powerful!"

It flatters your ego and that is what encourages you to come back and do even better. Well, in time you will do better and lift heavier, but you forget the most important thing when it comes to make muscles grow: the muscle-mind connection.

It's all the rage those days in the fitness community, yet it's been used for decades and decades and is the more efficient thing to grow bigger and leaner muscles. The only thing is, to use it you have to let your ego at the door and go for lighter weights.

Using your muscle-mind connection means that you'll grab lighter barbells and bars, but you will concentrate intensively on the muscle you're working on:

When doing biceps curls, you'll go for maybe 10 lbs instead of 15 or 20, but you will force your mind to connect to the target muscle (here, the biceps) and focus on deeply feeling the muscle while it does its job.

It takes much more energy from your body because the focus must be fully dedicated to the target muscle. That is why you'll have to grab lower weight, because secondary targeted muscle won't work as much as they are used to when you don't focus, and the targeted muscle will be more involved on its own. The result is, the contraction of the muscle will be better and you will end up with faster-growing muscle.

For two years and a half I had only been working out, thinking that a good form was enough. I didn't feel half of the reps i did , was rarely sore and didn't get fabulous results: it was unefficient.

This way of working means that if you don't feel a rep in your muscle, if you do one without feeling the contraction, then it doesn't count and you have to do it again.

If that is not the way you're used to working out, then try it at first on bodyweight and low-weight exercises (abs, kickbacks, push-ups...) and preferably at-home so you don't get distracted.

If you want to know more about the MMC connection and you're very interested in knowing more about it, a lot of fitness pages will explain the chemical and organic reaction of the body while using the MMC and soon enough you'll be convinced!
